Iva's Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

• 2 c water
• 1 1/2 c sugar
• 4 Tbl cornstarch
• 1 lrg pkg strawberry jello
• 2 pie shells
• whipped cream for garnish
• 5 pints strawberries (some to be saved for top of pie), cut rest in half.

Preparation

Step 1

Cook until clear water, sugar, and cornstarch. Stir in strawberry jello. Stir until desolved. Remove from heat. Cool until almost cold. Mix Strawberry halves in one bowl with 3/4 of the cooled glaze. Divide into two pie shells. Mix whole strawberries with rest of glaze and place on top of pie decoratively. Cool and top with whipped cream.
