Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- Pinch pf salt
- 1 tsp almond flavoring

Slivered almonds or pecans can be substituted Sugar
Melt butter and add to sugar in mixing bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour, salt and almond flavoring. Mix well. Line a 9-11-inch iron skillet with aluminum foil. Pour batter into skillet. Cover top with slivered almonds and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350. Remove cake from pan with foil to cool. Wrap tightly in foil to store. Do not try to peel foil until cake is completely cool or cake will stick.
