Ingredients
- Topping:
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 3 tbs sugar
- 1 stick butter
- Filling:
- 4 large granny smith apples
- 2 tbs packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven 425* .Grease a 2 quart baking dish. For topping –mix altogether – For filling, peel and slice apples, layer the apple slices in prepared baking dish, sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the apple slices. Sprinkle topping mixture over apples. Bake until apples are soft and crumble is lightly golden 20-25 min.
Can replace apples with fresh berries, but sprinkle 1 tbs flour on them before covering with crumble- This prevents the crumble from becoming soggy.
