Marinated Vidalias

Ingredients

  • 2 Medium Vidalia Onions
  • 1/2 C Sugar
  • 1 C Water
  • 1/4 C Rice Vinegar
  • 1 1/2 T Mayonnaise
  • 1 t Celery Seeds
  • Lettuce Leaves

Preparation

Step 1

Slice Onions Thin & Separate. Use a Mandolin.

Combine Sugar, Water & Vinegar Mix Until Sugar Dissolves. Pour Over Onions & Cover. Refrigerate For 3 Hours or Overnight.

Pour Off Liquid & Save.

Small Bowl, Whisk 1/2+- Liquid, Mayonnaise & Celery Seeds. Pour Over Onions. Use Reserved Liquid if Needed.

Serve on Lettuce Leaves.
