Ingredients

  • 8 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Cake
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place apples and cinnamon in a flat dish. let set for 6-8 hours
2. Place eggs and oil in a electric mix master and combine on medium speed, add sugar, orange juice and vanilla, beat until combine
3. Sift dry ingredients together, add to batter and combine
4. Add 1/2 the batter in a 10 inch tube pan with removable bottom. Add and spreas half the apples. repeat layers
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 1 3/4 - 2 hours until golden and toothpick comes out clean
