Never Fail Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 5 T. water
  • 1 T. vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. (heaping) shortening
  • 1 t. salt.

Preparation

Step 1

Mix water, vinegar and egg; set aside. Mix flour, shortening, and salt till in pea-sized pieces. Pour in liquid and blend. Roll out crust and put in pans (Makes 3-9" crusts. If baking crust as is, bake at 450 for 10 minutes; turn down oven to 350 degrees and bake till done.

Note: You can work with this dough as much as necessary. It will not fail!
