Ingredients

  • 1 1/2

    cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/2

    cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2

    cup cornmeal

  • 1/2

    cup rolled oats

  • 1/2

    cup water, or as needed

  • 1/2

    cup canola oil

  • 2

    eggs

  • 3

    tbsp. peanut butter

  • 2

    tbsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, cornmeal and oats. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and gradually pour in water, oil, eggs peanut butter and vanilla. Mix well. On a flat surface roll out dough 1/4 inch thick on a well floured cutting board. Cut dough with dog biscuit shapes using a cookie cutter. 3 x 1 inch dog-bone cutter dipped in flour gets about 58 3 inch biscuits, including rerolls. Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn off oven and leave in 20 more minutes to harden.
