Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 small red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 tart apple, peeled and grated
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper

Preparation
Step 1
In a dutch oven, saute onion in butter. Add cabbage and cook for a few minutes. Add rest of ingredients and bring up to simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
