Basting Sauce for Pork, Ribs and Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup white miso (fermented soybean paste)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 4 1/2 tea. red chile paste (sambal oelek)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together.

Use about 1/4 cup of the sauce for each pound of chicken, pork chops, ribs, and/or steak.

Brush on before grilling and again when you flip the meat/poultry halfway through grilingl time.
