Baked Apple Slices

Ingredients

  • 3 large baking apples, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 T. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 c. apple cider
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Place apples in a greased 1-quart dish. Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmet, ginger and apple cider; pour over apples. Dot with butter. Sprinle with nuts. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until appes are tender. Serve warm over ice cream. Yield: 4 cups.
