Freezing Berries

Freeze berries in canning jars and use as a topping for cheesecake, ice cream, pound cake, or with yogurt and granola for a better breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • berries, washed and drained
  • mason jars

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar and water to make sugar syrup. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Place raspberries, blackberries or strawberries into mason jars and cover with sugar syrup up to 1/2 inch from rim.

Cover with lids and freeze.
