Ingredients

  • Large bowl
  • Plastic wrap
  • Oil
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 2 packets (1.06 ounces each) buffalo wing seasoning, McCormick®
  • 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce, Tabasco®
  • 4 pounds chicken wings
  • Bleu cheese dressing, for dipping, Bob's Big Boy®
  • Celery sticks
  • Cucumber slices

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine buttermilk, wing seasoning, and hot pepper sauce. Add wings; toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
Set up grill for direct cooking over medium-high heat (see page 19). Oil grate when ready to start cooking.
Remove wings from refrigerator; let stand at room temperature about 30 minutes. Remove from marinade; discard marinade.
Place on hot, oiled grill. Cook for 12 to 18 minutes or until cooked through, turning occasionally.
Serve with bleu cheese dressing, celery sticks, and cucumber slices.
INDOOR METHOD:
Prepare wings as directed. Preheat broiler. Place wings on foil-lined sheet pan or broiling pan. Place 6 to 8 inches from heat source. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through, turning occasionally. Serve as directed.
