Banana Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

  • Bars:
  • 1/2 C. softened butter
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 C. mashed ripe bananas (4 medium)
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • Frosting:
  • 4 Tbsp. softened butter
  • 2 C. powdered sugar
  • 4 oz. pkg. softened cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Step 1

Bars:
Preheat oven to 350. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake for 25 mins. or until bars test done. Cool.

Frosting:
Cream butter and cream cheese in mixing bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat well until no more lumps. Frost bars and enjoy!
