Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
1. Sift dry ingredients together, twice.
2. Work in fat with finger tips.
3. Stir in liquid gradually, mixing with knife to soften dough.
4. Toss onto flour board, pat and roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
5. Bake at 450 degrees F for 20 minutes.
