Crockpot Braised Sage [Turkey] with Stuffing
Set this meal to cook early & you won't have much to do for dinner in a hurry. Sage & stuffing satisfy the craving for holiday flavors any time during the season.
Turkey was substituted for 6-8 bone-in, skinned chicken thighs.

Ingredients
- 1 organic yellow onion, halved lengthwise & sliced
- 3 c organic baby carrots
- 1/2 c organic turkey/vegetable broth
- 1/2 c dry white wine
- 1 clove organic garlic. minced
- 1 T chopped fresh sage
- 1.5 - 1.75 lbs of bone-in skinned turkey legs
- 1 t paprika
- sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (10oz) pkg organic stuffing mix with cranberries
Preparation
Step 1
1. Place onion in a lightly oiled 6QT crock pot/slow cooker & top w/carrots.
2. Combine broth, wine, garlic & sage.
3. Pour over vegetables.
4. Generously season turkey legs w/paprika, salt & pepper.
5. Arrange on top of vegetables.
6. Cover & cook on LOW heat setting 8 hrs or until turkey & vegetables are tender.
7. Prepare stuffing according to package & serve.
