Ingredients
- This is a basic rice recipe that you can add additional ingredients such as toasted pine nuts, vermicelli, etc.
- 1 stick butter
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 cup Uncle Ben's rice. (not instant)
- 2 cans of chicken broth (14.5 ounce cans)
Preparation
Step 1
Melt some of the butter and sauteed the finely chopped onion and any additional items you're going to add. Add the rest of the butter and the rice and brown slightly. (This is just to add a little color to the dish.) Put into a 9x13 pan. Stir in the chicken broth. Place uncovered in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
