Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter, 1 1/2 c sugar and eggs.

2. Combine flour, cream of tartar and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.

3. Form mixture into balls the size of walnuts.

4. Combine cinnamon and 2 tbs sugar. Roll cookie balls in mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet at least 2" apart as these cookies will spread out.

5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
