Stuffed Green Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 onion, sauteed
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice, cooked
  • 1/2 can tomato soup
  • green peppers

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine all ingredients, except green peppers.

2. Prepare peppers: cut off toops of green peppers and clean out insides. Drop in boiling water and boil 5 minutes. Drain upside down. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. Put a little of remaining soup on top of each pepper and top with a small piece of uncooked bacon.

3. Bake at 325 degrees, 1 1/2 hours (cover with foil for the first 45 minutes). Put a cookie sheet on bottom to catch drippings.
