Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, minced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme

Preparation

Step 1

1. Crust: Combine cream cheese, flour and 1/2 c butter; mix on medium speed. Shape into ball and refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.

2. Filling: Saute onion and mushroom in 3 tbs butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients.

3. Remove chilled dough from refrigerator and roll dough 1/8" thick and cut into circle with 2 3/4" cutter. Place a teaspoon of filling on circle. Seal edges with egg white and fork trim the edge. Prick the top for steam.

4. Place on ungreased baking sheet; there's no need to leave room between them. Bake at 450 degrees, 12 to 14 minutes.
