Manicotti

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 packages manicotti
  • 1 pint ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups freshly grated mozzarella
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. In large pan, boil water.
2. Add manicotti and cook for 6 minutes. leaving manicotti al dente.
3. In large skillet, heat oil and add onion.
4. Add ground beef and pepper, cook thoroughly, then cool.
5. Mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley and garlic.
6. Add pepper.
7. When ground beef is fully cooled, add to cheese mixture and mix.
8. Oil baking pan and coat with layer of tomato sauce.
9. Fill manicotti with filling and place in pan.
10. Top with sauce, mozzarella and Paremsan.
11. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
