whole wheat pancakes

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 tbls sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 tbls oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg white
  • cooking spray
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tbls butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
Mix all wet ingredients in another bowl and add to dry.
Stir just until ingredients are combined. Do not overmix, some lumps are fine.
Heat skillet until a drop of water sizzles. pour pancakes onto skillet and cook.

serve with syrup and butter
