Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- Streusel Mixture
- Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed), 2T. flour, 2t. cinnamon, 2T. butter and 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease and flour a sqare pan 9" X 9" X 1-3/4"
Mix sugar, butter and egg thoroughly. Stir in milk.
Measure flour, baking powder and salt; Stir together. Mix into wet ingredients. Spread 1/2 the mixture in pan.
Sprinkle with 1/2 of the streusel mixture.
Add the remaining batter and sprinkle remaining streusel mixture on top.
Bake for 25-35 min. until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm
