Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 cup powdered milk (do not add water)
  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 Tbs vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs untill very light and fluffy. Add sugar gradually, beating well after each 1/4 cup addition. When the mixture becomes stiff and difficult to beat, add powdered milk, then add milk, cream, vanilla, and salt.

Mix well before pouring into a gallon freezer and follow freezer instructions.
