Ingredients
- 1 c warm water
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 2 t evoo
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
1) combine water an yeast in large bowl. add 1 1/2 c flour, mix well. add oil, salt and remaining flour. work the ingredients together til a dough forms..you may not need as much flour so gradually add in the last cup
2)place dough on lightly floured surface and knead with heal of hand for 5 minute til smooth. if it becomes sticky, sprinkle with flour.
3) remove dough to a lightly oiled bowl. cover with plastic wrap or kitchen towel and let rest 1 hour in warm place, til double in size
4) when dough has risen, place on lightly floured surface, divide into 2 parts and form balls. cover with towel and let rest 15- 20 minutes. the dough can now be shaped and topped
