Ingredients
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil, divided
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz.)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped roma tomatoes
- 1 Tablespoon parmesan cheese
Preparation
Step 1
In a small sauce pan combine the tomato sauce, garlic, 1 Tablespoon basil, sugar, and salt & pepper. Heat on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
Spread the cream cheese in the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate that has been sprayed with non stick spray. Pour the sauce on top. Top with the mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, 1 Tablespoon basil, and parmesan cheese. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Serve immediately with crackers.
