French Onion Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/8 c butter
  • 3 med Vidalia onions
  • 3 c beef broth
  • 1/4 c white wine
  • 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 c shredded Swiss cheese
  • 3 slices French bread (3/4 inch thick)
  • 1/6 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion with garlic powder and salt in butter until carmelized. Mix in broth, worcestershire and wine. Heat. Place bread in bowl. Pour soup over bread and top with cheeses.
