Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Aunt Amy's Recipe

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup brandy or milk
• 1 tbsp (tsp) vanilla
• 1 1/4 cup flour
• 1 cup chopped nuts
• 3 1/2 cups oats
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Beat together shortening, sugars, egg, brandy and vanilla until creamy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop rounded tspful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 mins.
