Ingredients

  • 1 large white onion
  • 2-3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 small-medium cabbage
  • 8-10 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large chicken legs
  • 2 large chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp 5-spice
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp ancho chili powder
  • 1 tsp Old Bay
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions, sweet potatoes, garlic and celery in butter and olive oil on medium-high heat just until brown. Remove from pot and sear chicken bone-in. Add chicken stock and boil until meat pulls away from bone. Remove chicken and add cabbage. Shred chicken and add back to pot with veggies when cabbage is tender. Cook for five minutes and done
