Microwave method included
- Bake: 375*F. Squash is halved and seeded. Brush surfaces with oil and set cut side down on baking sheet. Bake until soft, wrinkled and nearly collapsed, ~30 mins.
- Roast: 400*F. Peel, seed and cut into 2" cubes.
Toss with oil and spices. Cook 15 minutes, stir cubes. Cook another 15 minutes, stir. Cook a final 10-15 minutes or until tender.
- 1 acorn squash
- Butter, brown sugar (or maple syrup), cinnamon and chopped nuts
Cook whole. Pierce skin with sharp knife in several places. Cook on high 6-8 minutes per pound. Let stand for 5 minutes. Cut in half, remove seeds. Fill cavity with toppings, to taste.
