Ingredients
- 2 t butter
- 1/4 C chopped onion
- 1 T + 1 teaspoon all purpose flour
- 1/4 C dry white wine
- 3/4 C beef broth
- 1 t caraway seeds
- 1/2 t paprika
- 2 1/2 C sauerkraut, rinsed well & drained & squeezed dry
Preparation
Step 1
In heavy skillet over med heat, melt butter. Add onion & saute until tender. Stir in flour, cook, stirring constantly, 1 min. Gradually add wine & beef broth, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, 3-4min. Add caraway & paprika. Stir in sauerkraut; cook just until heated Season to taste with salt & pepper
