Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups fresh raspberries, blackberries, and/or strawberries
- 3 8-oz containers vanilla yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
In medium pan combine sugar and water. Boil and stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
In blender combine half the sugar mixture and berries; cover and blend until almost smooth. Strain through fine mesh sieve. Repeat with rest of sugar mixture and berries. Discard seeds after straining. Combine berry mixture with yogurt and vanilla and mix until well combined. Cover and chill several hours or overnight.
Freeze in 2 quart ice cream maker. Ripen 4 hours.
