Ingredients
- 2 tsp. Oil
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Stalks Celery, finely chopped
- 21/2 C. Sodium-Reduced Chicken Broth
- 1 C. Pearl Barley, uncooked
- 1/2 C. Kraft 4 Cheese Italiano Light Shredded Cheese
- 1/4 C. Fresh Basil, thinly sliced
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in lg. saucepan on med-high heat. Add vegetables; cook & stir 5-7 min. or till crisp-tender. Stir in broth & barley; bring to a boil. Simmer on med-low heat 40 min. or till barley is tender & liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add cheese & basil; mix well.
