SAUERKRAUT HOTDISH

Ingredients

  • 1/4 - 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 quart well-drained sauerkraut
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes & bacon

Preparation

Step 1

Fry bacon. Crumble, set aside. Dispose of bacon grease.

Saute onion in butter or margarine. Add brown sugar. stir till dissolved. Add sauerkraut. Fry till brown.

Add stewed tomatoes & bacon.

Bake at 350 degreess F for 1 hour.
