Applesauce-Spice Cupcakes

Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 3/4 t salt
- 2 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t nutmeg
- 1/8 t cloves
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temp
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
2. In mixer, medium-high speed, cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Reduce speed to low. Add applesauce and then flour mixture, beating until just combined.
3. Divide batter among cups, filling each ¾ full. Bake for 20 minutes. Store overnight at room temp or 2 months in freezer.
