Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tablespoon flour
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dillweed
- 6 cups hot cooked macaroni shells
- Green onion strips for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add green onions and garlic, and sauté 2 minutes. Add flour, and stir well. Gradually add milk, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in cheeses and herbs.
Serve over cooked macaroni shells. Garnish with green onion strips, if desired.
