I've found my new favorite cookie! Made with oats, black walnuts and white chocolate chips. Serve these up with your favorite tea or coffee. Absolutely scrumptious!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup black walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.

Combine butter, sugar and beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add flour mixture; mix well. Add oats, chocolate chips and black walnuts; stir well.

Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto un-greased baking sheets.

Bake about 9 minutes, until just golden brown. Let cool 1 minute on baking sheets; remove to wire rack. Let cool completely.
