Baked Kale Chips

An easy way to serve kale that is totally unique. Makes for an extra light and crispy snack or topper for soup and other side dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 T olive oil + 1 T vinegar (compliments bitter flavor)
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • Other spices to try: chili powder, cumin and garlic/nutritional yeast.

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350*F. Line nonstick sheet with parchment paper (I didn't do this, used nonstick pan).
2. With a knife or kitchen shears, carefully remove leaves from thick stems and tear into bit size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner.
3. Put kale pieces into a large ziploc bag (or use bowl if you don't mind getting hands oily). Add oil and vinegar, seal bag and squeeze bag to coat leaves until all kale is coated...lightly massage to ensure all pieces are coated.
4. Spread on baking sheet and sprinkle with seasoning.
5. Bake until edges brown but are not burnt, 10-15 minutes.
