Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 2 lb ground chuck
  • 1 1/4 c crushed crackers
  • 1 c tomato juice or milk
  • 1 pkg lipton onion soup
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/4 c chopped onion
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1/4 t dry mustard
  • 1/4 t celery salt
  • 1/4 t garlic salt
  • 3 T catsup
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 t nutmeg
  • 1 c catsup
  • 1 t dry mustard
  • 1 t Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first 12 ingredients together and shape into loaf.

For topping: mix ingredients (whisk) until no lumps and put on top of meatloaf. Bake covered for 1 ½ hours at 350 degrees.

Note: I make the recipe and then bake half the recipe and freeze the other half. You can put the glaze in a small bag and freeze in with the meatloaf. (I put peeled potatoes and carrots in with it while it bakes.)
