Ingredients
- 1 cup onions, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 2 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 pounds of lean beef, cut into cubes
- 8 fresh tomatoes, peeled and cut into large pieces
- 1/2 cup peanut oil
- 4 cups beef bouillon
- Boiled rice
- Strips of red sweet pepper for garnish

Preparation
Step 1
Combine onions, garlic, turmeric, ginger, chili powder, and salt in bowl. Mix well. Prepare beef and place in shallow dish. Sprinkle with onion-garlic mixture and refrigerate for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Prepare tomatoes.
In a large skillet, heat oil. Stir-fry the beef until browned on all side. Place beef in casserole and add skillet drippings, tomatoes, and bouillon. Bake, covered, in 325 degree oven for about 2 hours or until beef is tender. Serve with boiled rice and garnish with stips of red sweet pepper.
