Ingredients

  • 2 lbs green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped (1/4 large red onion)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Bragg's all-purpose seasoning
  • 3 tbsp. red wine vinegar (add 1 tbsp. extra for more tanginess)
  • 4 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • pepper, to taste (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Chop red onion very fine and place into large bowl. Lightly toast walnuts in a saucepan and add to red onions.

2. Steam green beans until just tender. Briefly run under cold water, then add to bowl.

3. Combine vinegars and Bragg's seasoning, pour over greens and toss (greens should still be warm so they absorb more flavour). Let rest at least 30 min, tossing occassionaly, before serving. Serve either warm or chilled.
