Pasta: Choose a Pasta for Salad

Ingredients

  • Pasta:
  • Bow Ties, Fusilli, Wagon wheels, Rigatoni, Elbows,
  • Medium shells,Penne, or Tortellini
  • Add a Protein:
  • Chicken, cooked and chopped
  • Steak, cooked and chopped
  • Roast beef, chopped
  • Canned tuna, drained and flked
  • Shrimp, cooked and chopped
  • Eggs, hard-boiled and chopped
  • Add Vegetables:
  • Broccoli florets, blached
  • Corn Kernels, blanched
  • Carrots, shredded
  • Cherry Tomatoes, halved
  • Green beans, blanched and chopped
  • Frozen peas
  • Celery, sliced
  • Cucumber, diced
  • Red onion, diced
  • Bell pepper, diced
  • Asparagus, blanched and chopped
  • Pick a Mix-In:
  • Sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • Roasted red peppers, chopped
  • Olives, pitted and chopped
  • Any cheese, shredded or crumbled
  • Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Make and add a Salad Dressing:
  • Vinaigrette, or
  • Creamy Herb, or
  • Garli Oil, or a
  • Creamy Parmesan

Preparation

Step 1

Make one of the dressings, then pour over the:
pasta salad and toss.

Season with salt and pepper

Chill for up to 3 hours
