  • 4 1/4 to 4 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 beaten eggs



Step 1

In mixing bowl, stir 2 cups of flour and yeast. In saucepan, heat milk, sugar, butter, and salt until butter just melts. Add milk miture to dry mixture, along with eggs. Beat on low with electric mixer for 30 seconds. Beat on high for 3 more minutes. Stir in as much of the remaining flour as you can.
Turn dough on lihtly floured surface. Knead in enough remaining flour to make moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball. Place in greased bowl and cover. Let rise in warm place until double (aout 1 hour).
Punch dough down. Turn on lightly floured surface and divide in half. Cover, let rest for 10 minutes.
Shape the dough into desired rolls. Cover and let rise in warm place until double (about 1/2 hour).
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 12-15 minutes.
