Pot Roast For The Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 chuck roast
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix (Lipton’s)
  • 1/2 c. red wine
  • 1/2 of 1 onion (quartered)
  • 2-3 celery ribs (chopped)
  • handful of mushrooms
  • 2 bay leaves
  • dash of black pepper
  • dash of garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

Place the vegetables in the bottom of the crock pot (may add potatoes and carrots.) Mix the soup, soup mix, and the wine and pour 1/2 of it over the vegetables. Season the roast with the garlic powder and place on top of vegetables. Pour the rest of the soup mixture on top. Season with black pepper. Cook on low for up to 10 hours.
