- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Spanish or red onions,sliced & cut
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Put sugar, water, vinegar & salt into a bowl.
Stir until sugar dissolves.
Slice & cut onions. Add to vinegar mixture.
Let stand for 3 hrs. or overnight.
Combine mayo with celery seed. Drain onions well. Stir into mayo & serve.
