Ingredients
- 2 lbs. beef stew meat
- Flour
- 1 medium onion, cut in chunks
- 1 8 oz. pkg. sliced mushrooms
- 1 container beef broth
- 2 T flour
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
Step 1
Mix beef stew meat with flour in large freezer bag until all meat is covered. Brown in vegetable oil in skillet over medium heat.
Put browned beef in crock pot. Add mushrooms, onions and beef broth. Cook on low for about 7 hours, or until beef is tender.
Mix 2 T flour and 1/2 cup water. Slowly add to crock pot. Cook, uncovered, until gravy is thickened.
Serve over cooked noodles or rice.
