All American Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean beef stew meat
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 1/2 cups red-skinned potatoes, about 5 small potatoes
- 1 cup carrots
- 3 Tbsp Mrs. Dash® Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
- 1 can canned low-sodium diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups cut green beans
- 1 can low-sodium beef broth
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup celery

Preparation
Step 1
Coat meat in flour. Brown meat in oil in a large heavy Dutch oven on all sides, about 10 minutes. Add carrots, celery, Mrs. Dash® Garlic and Herb Seasoning, potatoes, green beans, and broth in the Dutch oven. Cook on stove top low heat for 3 hours, watching carefully not to boil over.
Variation: Omit celery; add 1/2 cup diced onion. Omit green beans; add 3/4 cup canned corn and 3/4 cup canned green peas during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
