Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 9 " Baked and cooled pie crust (or prepared crust)
  • 3 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 tbs butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 medium bananas
  • whipped cream

Preparation

Step 1

In heavy saucepan, dissolve cornstarch and water. Stir in condensed milk and egg yolks. Cook and stir til thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Cool slightly. Slice 2 bananas. Arrange on bottom of crust. Pour filling over. Chill 4 hrs til set. Garnish with whipped cream and remaining bananas.
