Ingredients

  • 1/3

    cup sugar

  • 1/4

    tsp. ground ginger

  • zest of 1/2 lime

  • 3

    cups fresh pineapple chunks

  • 2

    star anise pods

  • 1 1/2

    Tbs. white rum

  • juice of 2-3 oranges, 2/3 cup

  • 2 1/2

    cups dry white wine

Directions

heat nonstick skillet over med-high heat in med. bowl combine sugar ginger and lime zest add pineapple and toss scape pineapple into skillet add star anise, cook without stirring about 5 min. until caramelized stir in rum and let alcohol burn off about 3 min. remove from heat and stir in oj, scraping pan, let cool discard anise, puree fruit mix, stir in white wine pour into ice pop molds freeze until solid about 4 hrs.
