Mae's Flapper Pie

Ingredients

  • Base:
  • 14 graham wafers, rolled fine
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Filling:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Topping:
  • 2 egg whites, beat stiff
  • 3 Tbsp icing sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare base, press into pie pan

Bring filling to slow boil, pour into base

Make topping & spread on filling

Bake 10 minutes in slow oven
