Preheat oven to 375° Cream shortening then add sugar and beat. Add eggs and orange juice and some of the rind Beat Then add buttermilk and dry ingrediants alternately. Drop and bake 9 to 10 minutes Icing for orange cookies Add powdered sugar to grated rind and juice of an orange until spreading consistency. Add a sprinkle of salt and a lump of softened butter. Mix well, then spread on warm cookies.
